In his recent interview for Konstantin “Leniniw” Sivko's podcast, Eugene Konoplyanka, co-founder of KONO.ECF, revealed more details about the negotiations with Preasy Esport. He noted that Preasy Esport at that time consisted of experienced players, including the legendary Peter “dupreeh” Rothmann. This was a serious option for KONO.ECF, as the signing of such a roster could immediately increase the team's reputation and status in the international arena.
Motivation to support Ukrainian esports
One of the key reasons why KONO.ECF ultimately refused to sign an international roster was the desire to support the Ukrainian esports scene. Konoplyanka emphasized that it was important for him to give Ukrainian players a chance to prove themselves at the international level. Refusing to sign the dupreeh roster in favor of ex-ENEIDA was a strategic decision aimed at developing the national esports scene.
Preasy's lineup at the time:
There were still options, but not so many of them, even the owner of Preasy and I, where dupreeh was, almost gave each other a little bit more.
KONO.ECF starting lineup: ambitions and goals
The new KONO.ECF roster, which includes Ukrainian players amster, byr9, kensizor, Polbandana, s4ltovskiy, shows good results at local and international tournaments. The team has quickly established itself as a serious contender for winning tournaments, thanks to the experience and high motivation of the players.
Future plans of KONO.ECF
At the moment, KONO.ECF is actively preparing for upcoming tournaments and plans to participate in major CS2 competitions. The team intends to gain a foothold in the professional scene and become one of the strongest Ukrainian organizations in the world of esports.
