Thanks to reaching the grand final of ESL Challenger League Season 47 Europe, KOI have secured a spot at the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 20, which will take place in Malta from September 3 to 22, 2024.
On their way to the grand final, KOI finished first in Group D and secured a spot in the second stage, which was divided into three seeds. Thanks to their first place, KOI were placed in the highest seed, where they managed to defeat Aurora and RUSH B, thus advancing to the upper bracket playoffs. In the upper bracket playoffs, they defeated 3DMAX and SINNERS, thus reaching the grand final and securing the coveted slot at ESL Pro League Season 20.
The team's and tournament's best player is Adam “adamS” Marian, who boasts a respectable rating of 6.7. Securing a slot at the tournament was the main goal, but following Valve's update, in which invitations to RMR tournaments are granted based on the Valve ranking, winning the tournament will also boost their ranking. They do not intend to stop and will continue the fight.
The second slot at the tournament will go to the winner of the lower final, where SINNERS await an opponent, who will be the winner of the match between Aurora and Sangal.
