Alex “poiii” Nyholm of EYEBALLERS broke the record for kills in CS2 without extra rounds, it happened in a match against Zero Tenacity in CCT Season 2 European Series 11. His team won the map with a score of 13-11 and brought the game to the third map.
Past record
The previous record belonged to Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, who had 38 kills on Ancient against Wildcard in the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 20. In addition to him, Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves of Fluxo had 37 kills against paiN.
New record
But after only less than 10 days, donk's record was broken, only by 1 kill, but it is still a record. Donk will still hold the record for kills in a LAN tournament, since poiii did it in an online tournament, but that doesn't make sense. Also his average damage per round was 147, which is pretty cool.
What's also interesting is he also did it at 17, just like donk, which once again proves that young talent is very much needed.
