kensizor on Victory Over Astralis: "Every Move They Make is Nervous"

B8 have qualified for the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 — and it was incredible. After two losses at the start of the qualifiers, the team rallied, winning five matches in a row to secure the last spot in the tournament. This marks the organization's first major in its history — on their sixth attempt. Right after the victory, Andrey "npl" Khukharskiy and Artem "kensizor" Kapran gave an interview to Leniniw, sharing their emotions, behind-the-scenes of the qualifiers, reactions from loved ones, and playing against Astralis.

One interesting moment from kensizor was when he mentioned that his mom watched the match from the garden. He also shared that morning games were challenging for him and made him nervous.

I ate a banana and did some hand maneuvers before 2–3 maps to calm down. I always do this — it's my flow, my zone
said kensizor

According to kensizor, Astralis seemed nervous and couldn't pull themselves together.

Of course, Astralis were sitting there all jittery. We saw it. They were really playing on edge. Every move they made was nervous. But we were just flying, playing our game

In npl's opinion, the captain of Astralis, cadiaN — appeared weaker than expected. Even with his experience, there was no confidence felt in his play.

CadiaN is a jittery guy
npl briefly described

Additionally, npl mentioned that the team won't have a bootcamp before the major.

We prefer playing from home. It's our initiative

The team will now have a media day, followed by a flight to Mongolia for the MESA Nomadic Masters: Spring 2025. However, kensizor shared some secret plans of the team

In a couple of days, we'll go to the media day, see each other, be happy, party, and then we might just disappear, you know…

One of the topics after B8's qualification for the major was Astralis's behavior in the decisive match. Kensizor claimed that the Danes abused technical pauses — allegedly under the pretext of "mouse issues" or "microphone problems" to take time to discuss with their coach.

He specifically noted an episode where cadiaN turned off the camera during a pause to talk with the coach. On Mirage, kensizor claims there were five or six such pauses. Although admins were monitoring the match, each stoppage was logged as technical, allowing the team to avoid restrictions.
