Professional CS:GO player Joel joel Holmlund has commented on ESIC's decision to ban him from competitions due to his involvement in fixed matches. The Swedish esports athlete published the statement on his personal Twitter page.

On September 20, ESIC published a statement revealing that Holmlund was involved in match-fixing. According to the investigation results, the commission found out that joel placed bets on CS:GO matches, including those where his team lost, and he himself influenced the outcomes of the games. Consequently, he has been banned from participating in competitions.
