Jame leaves the main Virtus.pro roster and moves to the reserve

The Elimination Stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major recently concluded, and already the first roster changes in teams have started. The captain and sniper of Virtus.pro, Dzhami "Jame" Ali, has been benched, as announced by Virtus.pro on their social media.

Jame's Role in Virtus.pro

Jame joined Virtus.pro in December 2019 along with the AVANGAR lineup, which the organization signed following their international success. Since then, he has become a central figure of the team, leading it to victories in the most prestigious tournaments.

In 2022, under his leadership, Outsiders claimed the championship title at IEM Rio Major, and Jame was awarded the tournament's MVP. Other major successes for Virtus.pro under his captaincy include victories at the Roobet Cup 2023 and Flashpoint Season 2.

Benched Despite a Long-term Contract

In June 2023, Jame extended his contract with Virtus.pro for four years, highlighting his strategic importance to the team. However, just a year and a half after signing the new agreement, he was removed from the active roster.

The player himself thanked the club for their collaboration, noting that this period was the most successful in his career:

I want to express my enormous gratitude to the entire Virtus.pro club, where I spent so many unforgettable years! This was the most successful period in my career, during which I learned a lot, met many interesting people, and won significant trophies
Jame

Team Implications

Jame's departure from the active roster raises many questions about the future of Virtus.pro. His contribution to the organization's successes certainly makes this decision a significant event for the professional scene. Now, Jame's fate remains uncertain, as he still has a contract with the organization for another 2.5 years.
