Innovation Esport Group will host the first CS2 tournament with a prize pool of $1,000,000

Today, the European organizer Innovation Esport Group officially announced the LAN tournament Hussar Cup 2023 with a prize pool of one million US dollars, which will take place in Poland on CS2.

 
 

Hussar Cup 2023 will be held in the city of Hożów, Poland, from August 30th to September 3rd. A total of 8 teams will participate, although the exact team pool is not yet known.

However, it can already be confidently stated that only 6 teams will be invited, with 2 of them being partners of the organizers.

Additionally, 2 teams will qualify through open pan-European qualifiers.

The tournament will be played on CS2, provided that the developers release a new version of the game by that time.

Recall that Valve confirmed these statements on March 22nd when they released several videos on their channel showcasing new features and mechanics, and most importantly, announcing the date. At the end of the video, there is a banner with information that the updated engine will be released in the summer of this year.

Previously, Innovation Esport Group attempted to hold Hussar Cup 2020, but the tournament was later canceled for unknown reasons.
