On the night of October 3, Valve released another update for Counter-Strike 2. The developers removed the penalty for moving on muddy surfaces and improved the operation of incendiary grenades. The patch notes appeared on the official shooter website.
Gameplay
- Removed the penalty for moving on muddy surfaces.
Graphics
- Fixed a shader compilation error when connecting to the server, leading to crashes after connection. Note that these issues may still persist on AMD graphics cards.
Animation
- Fixed a bug where a knife strike could not be interrupted by inspection.
Miscellaneous
- Various bug fixes and weapon and glove finish settings.
- Fixed an instance where Molotov cocktails/incendiary grenades created a ring of fire in the air.
- Improved the efficiency of extinguishing a Molotov cocktail/incendiary grenade.
- Various improvements in dropping and falling weapons.
- Various crash fixes.
The official release of CS2 took place on September 27. The updated version of the shooter from Valve became available to all interested gamers. Tournament operators have already switched their competitions to CS2.
