According to the Esports Charts portal, the final of the Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023 between Complexity and FaZe gathered 463,081 viewers at its peak. This was a record not only for the tournament, but also for the entire IEM Sydney series.

The previous record of the series was set in the final of Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2018 between Astralis and FaZe. That match was watched by 278,891 viewers. At the Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2019, the most popular match was between fnaticand Liquid. It was also the final and was watched by 271,671 viewers.

FaZe won IEM Sydney 2023, defeating Complexity in the decisive match with a score of 2:1. The team received $100,000 and a slot at IEM Katowice 2024. In addition, FaZe entered the race for the fifth Intel Grand Slam, where Vitality, ENCE, G2, and MOUZ have one point each. $1,000,000 in gold bullion will be awarded to the team that will win four major tournaments from ESL.
