IEM Dallas 2024 will be the 100th tournament in the IEM series

Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2024 will be the hundredth tournament in the IEM series. The first tournament was held back in 2007, with a prize pool of €92,000.

For over 17 years, IEM has been building esports in Counter-Strike together with all community members. Let's recall the most significant events from these championships.

The very first championship under the IEM brand was held in Hanover and was called Intel Extreme Masters I. As we mentioned earlier, its prize pool was €92,000. The winners were Team Pentagram, featuring renowned players such as NEOTaZ, and kuben.

 
 

The 16th league became the most event-packed due to the RMR events for all regions in 2021, such as Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Fall. In total, 10 championships were held.

Over the course of these championships, a total of $19,760,420 has been played out, and this is only in Counter-Strike. They also hold tournaments in LoL, WarCraft, and Starcraft II.

The Swedish organization FNATIC has won the most IEM series tournaments, becoming champions in 9 of them and also finishing second 4 times. The last championship won by FNATIC was the Intel Extreme Masters XII - World Championship, held in 2018.

 
 

Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2024 will start on May 27 and end on June 2, with a prize pool of $250,000. A total of 16 teams will participate in the championship.
