In an effort to get rid of side platforms, Valve has completely changed the approach to the distribution of ranks in Counter-Strike 2 compared to CS:GO, where matchmaking had ranks from Silver to Global Elite.

The new system from Valve is more understandable and accessible than the previous one. The rating shows how close or far a player is to the next rank. In addition, it is clear how points are earned and how a particular match affected the ranking.
