The first day of the IEM Katowice 2024 Play-in has already ended, and we have two teams that have advanced to the main stage of the championship. They are Heroic and Eternal Fire.

Eternal Fire started their journey in the tournament with a match against BetBoom, which they easily won on Nuke with a score of 13:1. Their next opponents were Rebels, who had previously beaten Cloud9.

Overall, EF closed out their opponents with a score of 2:0 (Inferno 13:4, Mirage 13:9) and advanced further. Rebels, on the other hand, went to the lower bracket.

In turn, Heroic in their first match defeated Astralis on Mirage with a score of 13:11, and then in a close fight, they beat BIG with a score of 2:1 (Nuke 13:8, Vertigo 7:13, Anubis 13:7) in maps.

Here, too, BIG went to the lower bracket, while Heroic advanced further.
