Guild Esports, the British organization founded by soccer legend David Beckham, has officially disbanded its Counter-Strike 2 teams, including the men's and women's teams.
In a statement, Guild thanked the players for their loyalty and wished them success in their future endeavors. This termination brings an end to the close-knit team GUILD EAGLES, formerly known as Bad News Eagles, which has been together since August 2021.
This lineup had made it to the majors three times in their 3 years of playing together and were on it each time without the organization, but when they were signed they failed to make it. In a notable revelation, the players announced that they will no longer be playing together and each player will be looking for a team separately.
The organization reportedly has no plans to return to CS2 anytime soon. Where the players will move to is still unknown, but they have a bright future.
