In his recent interview for a Danish YouTube channel, Nicolai device Reedtz, the sniper for Astralis, shared a terrible story related to his girlfriend during his move to Sweden!
Here's what device actually said about his ex-girlfriend:
Emilia Hult cheated on me with one of my good friends, and it happened more than once. I found out about it two months after moving to Sweden with her. Many people knew about it except for me.
Nicolai also mentioned that he wasn't sure if he wanted to return to CS and it took him some time to decide if he wanted to play for Astralis in Denmark again. He also noted that he had several projects to consider during his time off when he was on sick leave.
He also spoke briefly about his illness:
I've always had problems with my stomach. I think I had about a year and a half or two years when I felt nauseous every day due to stress. The pressure, flights didn't allow me to relax. Then, in the end, I found myself alone in Sweden, without friends, without a girlfriend. Amidst the stress, it got worse and worse, and I didn't know what it was. I had stomach problems even before that, but they worsened after the episode with Emilia Hult.
Recall that the player joined the NiP team back in May 2021, after which the team won only one major tournament that year - Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Fall: Europe.
Following that, device took a year-long hiatus. But after gathering his strength and recovering, device returned to the ranks of Astralis, where he continues to play!
However, the team's results have not been satisfactory so far, as they did not qualify for the latest CS:GO major - BLAST Paris Major 2023.
By the way, in the qualification championship for the major, device became the best player on the roster!
