GamerLegion has announced a significant roster change, benching Belgian player Nicolas "Keoz" Dgus. The decision marks a pivotal transition for both the player and the organization as Keoz looks for fresh opportunities after nearly two years with the German team.
Keoz's benching follows a period of reflection, partly spurred by GamerLegion's last-minute participation at PGL Major Copenhagen as a replacement for 9 Pandas.
Joining GamerLegion in September 2022 as part of a broader team overhaul alongside Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand and Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek, Keoz contributed to a surprising and impressive journey to the BLAST Paris Major final, catapulting the team to the sixth spot in global rankings. The success, however, led to inevitable roster changes, with siuhy returning to MOUZ and Mihai "iM" Ivan transferring to Natus Vincere.
GamerLegion's recent six-month track record has seen a mix of performances, often falling short in international arenas. At the Europe RMR, they faced the last-chance qualifier, ultimately losing to 9 Pandas, who later encountered travel complications for the Major.
Keoz expressed his intent for a new chapter via social media, indicating his readiness to embrace new challenges and improve personally and professionally. He stated openness to all offers, hinting at a driven mindset towards his future in competitive gaming.
GamerLegion has yet to unveil Keoz's replacement as they prepare for the upcoming European closed qualifiers for ESL Challenger Jönköping and the Thunderpick World Championship. The community awaits to see how this roster shift will impact the team's dynamics and performance.
