FURIA sweeps paiN, to the IEM Fall NA final

First semifinal of the event.

As both Brazilian teams, FURIA Esports and paiN Gaming have already qualified for PGL Major Stockholm 2021, it was time to find out who was going to advance to the IEM Fall North America final.

paiN Gaming looked prime to take Inferno away from FURIA Esports, as their defence never allowed FURIA to pick up consecutive rounds and offence added a pistol round to a “12-5” combined scoreline. That was the moment, when the favourites turned into the second gear, as FURIA forced an overtime despite being against three match points and then snatched their own map pick, “19-17”. Moving to paiN Gaming’s pick of Ancient, FURIA Esports went full speed since the very beginning, as they swept the defensive side, “15-0” and then closed it with the pistol on the offence, “16-0”, “2-0”.

Both Brazilian teams will now wait for the outcome of the Team Liquid and GODSENT match to find out their next opponents at IEM Fall North America.
