The second semi-final at Elisa Masters Espoo 2023 for today's game day ended with the elimination of HAVU at the hands of FURIA. Over two maps, the Finnish five managed to win only 8 rounds.
FURIA not only handled their opponents confidently on Mirage, but also crushed HAVU 13:1 on their own Nuke. The deserving MVP of the series is Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato with 33 frags, an ADR of 106 and a 7.6 rating. The star riffler has a good chance to be the best player of the entire tournament.
FURIA hasn't won a major tournament since July 2021, when the team won the Elisa Invitational Summer 2021, beating SKADE 2-1. Since then, the club has never finished higher than 3rd-4th place in prestigious events, not counting PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR.
The final of FURIA vs. Apeks will start tomorrow, December 3 at 17:00. The match will be held in bo5 format, the winner will receive $100k, and the silver medalist will go home with $40k.
Elisa Masters Espoo 2023 takes place from November 29 to December 3 in Espoo, Finland. The prize pool is $200,000 and the tournament features eight teams divided into two groups.
