Today, legendary Swedish player Adam "friberg" Friberg announced his desire to return to the professional scene!
friberg:
I like the opportunity to move on to CS2. I'm still not done with my career. I have a desire to try my hand at Counter-Strike 2!It would be very foolish of me to retire right now with a new game looming on the horizon, especially since I love Counter-Strike. I've been living and breathing this game for almost 18 years now.I feel like I have something to offer. As captain, I would love to return to the Swedish pro scene.
Recall that in mid-2022, friberg moved to the bench in the team Dignitas. After that he played various qualifications with friends and just streamed on Twitch. He also became a father in December of the same year.
It is worth pointing out that the player's career started back in 2009 with 1.6 version!
Also friberg once became the champion of the major, and also received the award MVP of this tournament! Namely he became the champion of ESL One: Cologne 2014.
The Swedish player also reached the finals of four other majors:
- ESL One: Katowice 2015 (2 place)
- DreamHack Winter 2014 (2 place)
- ESL Major Series One Katowice 2014 (2 place)
- DreamHack Winter 2013 (2 place)
