The legendary three-time Counter-Strike world champion Lincoln “fnx” Lau shocked his fans when he revealed that Valve contacted him through an account that was banned for VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat). The player admitted that he had lent this account to a friend who used cheats, which is why he was banned.
Details:
“I had an account that I gave to my friend. He used cheats and the account was banned. But I already had another account. Valve asked me about this account after I won my first Major,” fnx said during a stream with influencer Jon Vlogs.
According to fnx, the key to avoiding serious punishment was that he told Valve the truth. He explained to the developers that this blocked account was given to his friend. Valve did not take any sanctions against the player because he admitted everything honestly.
The career of fnx in CS
fnx started his career in 2000, and his rise to the top took place with the MIBR team, with which he won his first world title at ESWC 2006 in the CS 1.6 version of the game. He also participated in competitions in Source and Global Offensive versions. It was in CS:GO that he became the champion of Major tournaments twice.
His last fnx team was Imperial, with whom he played at the PGL Major Antwerp 2022, where the team achieved significant success, but the player himself has not played professionally since then.
