The first open qualifier for IEM Rio 2024 Europe Closed Qualifier is over, where more than 500 teams of different levels fought. OG and Fnatic made it to the closed qualifiers and were able to qualify by winning the BO1 big grid format and winning the BO3 exit match.

Qualification Details
The tournament was held in two days, where the second day is considered a good result for young teams and also more interesting matches happen on the second day. If the top teams that participated did not qualify for the second day, it can be considered a failure. Of the well-known teams did not make it to the second day:

Closed Qualifications
A total of 8 teams will take part in the closed qualifications, including 4 from open qualification and 4 invited teams, including HEROIC, Falcons, Eternal Fire and 3DMAX. From the closed qualification, 2 teams will qualify for the main tournament and will fly to Brazil.
Best Qualification Player
The best qualification player was Fnatic player, Benjamin “blameF” Bremer, who has been showing great play not only in this qualification, but since joining. His rating for qualification was 7.5 for 5 maps, which is quite a good level.
Second Qualification
The second open qualification will begin on August 18 and will also take place over two days, from where two teams will also make it to the closed ones. As of now, 417 teams have already registered for the second qualification.
