Fluxo wins CCT Season 2 South American for the third time in a row

Alongside preparations for the Major, several smaller events are taking place on the CS2 professional scene, one of which, the CCT Season 2 South American Series #5, recently concluded. The winner was the Brazilian team Fluxo, who claimed their third consecutive victory in this tournament series.

Fluxo's Performance at the Event

The Brazilian team was invited to the event through a direct invitation from the organizers, thanks to their outstanding results in the previous tournament. This allowed them to skip the group stage and move straight to the playoffs, giving them more time to prepare for their upcoming opponents.

As a result, Fluxo won every match in the playoffs. They first defeated Yawara 2-1, then followed up with two clean 2-0 victories against Tropa do Taco and Solid. In the grand final, they faced the favorites ODDIK and, despite some difficulties, defeated them 2-1. With this victory, Fluxo became the champions of CCT Season 2 South American Series #5, earning $10,000 and 150 CCT Points, which are necessary for qualifying for the main tournament of the year. After the event, Fluxo’s total CCT Points amount to 450, placing them in first place on the leaderboard.

Continued winning streak

It's worth noting that thanks to their win at CCT Season 2 South American Series #5, Fluxo extended their winning streak in this tournament series. Since the start of 2024, the team has already won Series #3 and Series #4, and their victory in Series #5 positions Fluxo as one of the most promising teams in Brazil’s tier-2 scene.
