The tournament will be held in LAN format, specifically in Shanghai! Theoretically, it may already take place on CS2. After all, the well-known English-speaking journalist Striker previously expressed his opinion about this tournament:
Perhaps, Perfect World knows exactly when the CS2 release will take place. Now we are focused on the fact that the game will be released in the summer. Perhaps this will not happen. But it is obvious that the CS:GO Asia Championships 2023 will be a kind of testing ground for the second major of 2024, which, as we know, will take place in Shanghai. I would assume that by the beginning of November, we will definitely have CS2 released. At least, the CS:GO Asia Championships 2023 will be one of the first events on CS2. Maybe we will see the release before Sydney, as there is not much time left until then. It is also clear to me that the nearest ESL Pro League will definitely take place in CS:GO.
Well, maybe this will indeed be the first tournament on CS2, and to watch it, Europeans will have to stay up all night!
