FACEIT innovations to improve the gaming experience: from improved rating to anti-cheat

The FACEIT team has announced a major update to its platform, which includes a number of significant improvements and innovations aimed at providing a better gaming experience for users. Significant changes have been made to the ELO calculation system, which will now more accurately reflect the individual achievements of players in matches. In particular, players can now receive additional ELOs for good results in matches, and in case of defeat, they will lose fewer points.

Much attention was paid to game security: the option of matches where all participants have verified accounts linked to passports was introduced, which minimises the risk of meeting smurfs. The match search algorithms have also been improved to ensure more balanced games.

Other innovations include an updated version of the FACEIT client for Windows, which now consumes 50% less memory, a new server in Kazakhstan, automated search for a new game in case of unexpected withdrawal of players from a match, as well as an improved cheater detection system and fight against fake hubs and tournaments.

These updates are aimed at improving the quality of the gameplay on FACEIT, providing players with a fairer and more balanced competition environment.
