Eternal Fire’s Ali "Wicadia" Haydar Yalçın discussed his team’s triumph, the hurdles they overcame during the intense match, and how their strategic approach has evolved. In an interview with Bo3.gg, he delved into the pride of defeating iconic players and highlighted the squad’s defining characteristics.

Congratulations on the victory! How do you feel after the game?

It was a tough match but also fun. At some point, we felt we weren’t playing well, so we decided to be more aggressive as a team. We're happy with the result.

What went wrong on Inferno?

They played together as five and used a fast-paced style that didn’t match ours. We struggled to adapt.

Last time, you rated your performance a 7. How would you rate yourself today?

I played well on Inferno but didn’t perform on Anubis. I’d give myself a 5 this time.

How did you prepare for 3DMAX?

We all watched a lot of their demos individually and analyzed our own gameplay. We also prepared as a team.

Did you change anything in your playstyle compared to the previous match?

No, not really.

Your next opponent is either FaZe or G2. Who would you prefer to face?

I’d like to play against G2. Matches against them are always fun.

How will you prepare for G2?

We'll relax at the hotel, analyze their gameplay, and have one or two practice sessions.

Your roster now has five Turkish players. How does that affect your team chemistry and playstyle?

I don’t think we are like the Brazilian teams from 2018. We have our own playstyle, but we aren’t just pushing all the time.

What makes your playstyle unique?

We are strong in contact plays. XANTARES is one of the best aimers in the world, and he excels at taking entries. That’s one of our biggest strengths.

Which map is the best for you and your team right now?

Anubis. We haven’t lost a single game on it this year.

And the worst?

Ancient. I didn’t play it before when it was in the map pool, so I’m still adapting.

Do you like the new Train?

Yes, but I’m still learning how to play it well.

What do you do together outside the game?

We play ping pong with woxic, MAJ3R, and our cameraman. Sometimes we go shopping or just chill together.

Can you build your dream team with yourself in it?

Sure. I’d take donk, m0NESY, myself, jL, and karrigan.
