As a result of the first day of play at the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals, the first two teams have earned slots in the final stage of the tournament.
Bad News Eagles advanced to the playoffs as winners of Group A. Both of their matches were very close in score - firstly, they defeated Eternal Fire 16:14, then they defeated forZe (2:1). In both matches, sinnopsyy was the top player in their team.
On the other hand, ENCE edged past their opponents. In the opening bo1 match, they defeated Movistar Riders on Nuke with a score of 16:11, after which they defeated Spirit with a score of 2:1 in the winners' match. The fact that the Finnish club was playing with a standing from their academy team (HENU) hasn’t prevented ENCE from winning. Nertz will fully join the roster only in EPL S17.
The CCT Central Europe Malta Finals will take place in a LAN format with 8 participants from February 16 to 19. The total prize pool of the tournament is $100,000. In addition to the $50,000 for first place, the champions will also receive a slot in the CCT Global Finals.
