Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, one of the most decorated players in the history of Counter-Strike, is gradually discovering the other side of the stage. After a long career as a player, he returned to the BLAST Rivals tournament not with a keyboard in hand, but as an analyst. And this return seems to be just the beginning.
We first saw dupreeh in his new role at the BLAST Bounty studio, and now he feels confident on the BLAST Rivals air. Peter admits that analytics is a challenge, but also a space for realization:
Talking about a game that you know down to the last detail is not only interesting, but also extremely valuable.Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen
He also adds:
At first you think of yourself only as a player, but over time you realize that you have other skills. And if you're good at something, why not try something else?Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen
Although Peter didn't specifically announce his retirement, he admitted that his contract is coming to an end and that no final decision has been made yet.
I'm just considering my options. Is it a stage of rethinking - the experience of playing or new challenges? The answer will come with time.Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen
In his analytical comments, dupreeh was frank. He explained the fall of NAVI as a typical consequence of success: the team has reached the top, but staying there is a separate art. Loss of confidence, internal doubts and lack of changes in the team were the main barriers.
He spoke more harshly about FaZe:
Replacing ropz with EliGE broke the balance. The team has good players, but internal problems outweigh the talent.Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen
As for G2, there are few prospects. The loss of NiKo and m0NESY, dupreeh believes, is the loss of a core that cannot be restored quickly:
At best, they will be in the top 8. They are not yet in the running for trophies.Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen
Instead, he describes Falcons as a team in the “honeymoon” phase, where everything works intuitively.
It is incredible how effective they look without a serious training period. But whether it will be enough against Vitality is a big question.Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen
Regarding the French organization, dupreeh has no doubt:
It's top. At least one of the four best teams of all time. Next to Astralis, NAVI 2021, Liquid Grand Slam, and FaZe 2022.Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen
According to Peters, Falcons and Vitality have the best chances in the final of the major in Austin. Spirit are still dependent on donk, while MOUZ can make a breakthrough only with a perfect mapped routine and mental toughness.
Vitality is the favorite. Falcons have a crazy momentum. The others? We need more time,” he summarized.Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen
