DRX decides to terminate contract with FiveK amid debt scandal

DRX, a South Korean esports team, announced the termination of its contract with 28-year-old streamer FiveK, who was part of the streaming department. The decision to end the contract was made following an investigation into suspicions regarding FiveK’s personal life, which violated his contractual obligations. The team promised to continue maintaining transparency and strict management to remain leaders in the esports world.

FiveK, a popular VALORANT streamer in South Korea, is known for his success with the amateur team F4Q. In 2020, he founded F4Q, who became finalists in the Korean VCT qualifying tournament in 2021 and participated in VCT 2021 Masters Berlin. After F4Q disbanded in 2022, FiveK began his professional career, signing new sponsorship deals and forming rosters with new players.

In September 2023, FiveK joined DRX and continued balancing streaming with participation in the Premier roster, alongside Suggest, Bazzi, and KimGyuTae.

The situation surrounding the contract termination gained attention due to accusations from FiveK ex-girlfriend, Jennlee, who claimed that he owed her 7 million won and had not returned the money. Jennlee posted conversations and evidence showing his promises to repay the debt, which remained unfulfilled.
