Last night, at the opening of the IESF World Championships 2023, a DJ said a very offensive phrase to the entire Ukrainian people. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian organization IKLA has already publicly condemned the DJ.

Chronology of events

Yesterday was the grand opening of the IESF World Championships, which are taking place in a small Romanian town called Iasi. The opening itself was accompanied by loud colorful music, led by a hitherto unknown DJ.

According to IKLA, as soon as they arrived at the venue, the DJ said his cancerous line:

We are not interested in wars, we just want to play games

After such a scandalous phrase, the Ukrainian organization IKLA, which this year represents Ukraine in the international arena, made its indignation public on its Telegram channel:

Yesterday, at the opening ceremony of IESF 2023 in Romania, a DJ allowed himself to say absolutely unacceptable things about the war. At a time when innocent people are dying every day from Russian aggression.
The Russian-Ukrainian war is not just a conflict between two states. It is a struggle for freedom and democracy of the entire civilized world

A little bit about the tournament

The organizers of the tournament consider this event to be the "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive". The championship itself takes place, as we mentioned above, in the small Romanian town of Iasi. The prize pool of the championship is $100,000!

This tournament will be held from August 26 to September 3, 2023. This championship can rightfully be considered the 15th in this series.
