CS:GO Twitter updated their banner with a new mysterious logo

Is the update not far off?

Valve continues to generate interest in the CS:GO community amidst rumors of a switch to the Source 2 engine or even a release of the new version of CS. The official Twitter account has once again changed its banner, sparking a new wave of speculation surrounding the anticipated release of a long-awaited update. The attention was drawn to the logo in the picture.

What are the developers hinting at?

There could be many explanations, but we will focus on two. On the one hand, we remember that Valve registered two new trademarks a few days ago: Counter Strike (without a “-”) and CS2. It is difficult to say whether we can expect two versions of the game or if this is a sort of rebranding, but in any case, it could be an updated CS logo with just a removal of "Global Offensive" in the name.

On the other hand, this could be a simple trolling from the developers aimed at the shooter's fanbase, who are eagerly awaiting news.

It should be noted that March 24th is one of the possible release dates for CS:GO on Source 2.
