Valve has rolled out a fresh update for Counter-Strike 2, bringing critical adjustments for the ongoing Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, improvements to maps, and fixes to various game mechanics. Here’s a breakdown of the update highlights:

Shanghai Major Updates

  • Sticker Replacement: MIBR's autographed player stickers for Lucas "Lucaozy" Neves have been updated to feature the correct player, Breno "brnz4n" Poletto.
  • Pick'Em Improvements: A UI bug allowing team logos to be dropped outside the Major Pick’Em hub has been resolved. Players can now make their predictions for the upcoming Elimination Stage without issues.
 
 

Damage Prediction

  • Valve introduced a refinement in ragdoll predictions, ensuring that incorrectly predicted animations without server confirmation will now revert. This change aims to provide a smoother and more consistent gameplay experience.

Map Changes

Train

  • Improved collision fidelity for several models, enhancing precision during gameplay.

Overpass

  • Replaced the railing inside Heaven with a solid wall to improve player visibility and gameplay flow.

  • Various fixes were applied to Hammer, improving stability and functionality for map creators.

Pick'Em Challenge Update

The Pick’Em challenge has been updated for the Elimination Stage of the Shanghai Major, allowing players to place predictions for this crucial phase of the competition.
