The former Astralis coach returns to the big stage after a successful appeal.
Peter castle Ardenskjold, former coach of the famous CS2 team Astralis, received a significant reprieve. After successfully appealing his ESIC (Esports Integrity Commission) ban in 2020, castle is now cleared to compete in PGL Major Copenhagen and will join Team ESTATIC as a coach. Castle was initially disqualified from the majors for using a coaching bug.
The news of castle's return was published on the official page of the ECSTATIC team on X (Twitter).
ECSTATIC, being the only all-Danish team to qualify for a major on home soil, was considered one of the least experienced teams present at the event. The presence of castle with his wealth of knowledge and coaching experience is expected to greatly enhance the team's performance.
This news was a pleasant surprise for both castle and the CS2 community. Castle's return to the coaching scene adds more interest to the upcoming Major, potentially shaping the fate of the young ESTATIC team.
