CadiaN apologized for his trash talk towards TheMongolz

In yesterday's match between Heroic and TheMongolz, Heroic's captain Kasper "cadiaN" Møller shouted offensive remarks towards his opponents.

Particularly, everyone noted the captain's comments during the second map, when he won a one versus three clutch.

You fucking noobs!

This was the most loud and eloquent incident, but there were several such incidents during the game. In all other cases, cadiaN restrained himself and did not resort to personal insults.

However, in the post-match interview, cadiaN started to apologize to TheMongolz team. Later, he even wrote a post on his Twitter apologizing:

I deeply regret the harsh comments in the middle of the game. I understand that I am the only player who still yells at his opponents. But it was my last time. I will try to be better. 🙏🏼

On the other hand, his compatriot analyst Pimp defended cadiaN:

TheMongolz made it to the group stage of IEM Cologne 2023, playing damn good CS. They continued to do this yesterday against Heroic. They deserve respect, and strangely enough, that's what cadiaN gave them. cadiaN trash talks everyone, so why wouldn't he do it against TheMongolz? If I were a Mongol, I'd be furious that everyone thinks we need to be protected from the LAN atmosphere.ESL has created a system that allows players to interact with each other. So let's try not to spoil that. Teams and players have bought into this, creating a damn tense and entertaining atmosphere!

But the community didn't let this go, and English commentator JustHarry even thinks that the Heroic captain should receive public punishment for his actions:

Personally, I think CadiaN should be publicly executed by firing squad just for making eye contact with Blitz. I think the viewers should incinerate the Dane.

The match was part of the group stage of the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2023, where the Danish organization Heroic had a hard time defeating TheMongolz team from Mongolia with a score of 2:1! Read more about this match here.

IEM Cologne 2023 takes place from July 26 to August 6. Teams are battling for a prize pool of a million dollars and a quota for IEM Katowice 2024. You can track the schedule and results of the tournament here.
