In their first match of the group stage at the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2023, the Danish organization Heroic narrowly beat the team from Mongolia, TheMongolz, with a score of 2:1.

How did the match go?

The first map of the confrontation was Mirage (TheMongolz's pick). As soon as this map started, it became clear that the Mongols would give a great fight to Heroic's team.

And that's exactly what happened, the team from Asia won with a score of 16:11.

The second map was Overpass (Heroic's pick). On this map, it was unclear who would win the map right up to the final round.

But still, Heroic became the winners of the map after two pairs of additional rounds with a score of 22:18.

And the final map was Inferno. Let's say the Mongols got tired and gave away the map with a score of 10:16. But one cannot deny their merit. Almost defeating one of the best teams in a bo3 match!

Rasmus "sjuush" Beck, rifler of the Heroic team, received the MVP award after the match, as his average rating was 6.7 after 3 maps!

What's next?

Let's remind that all matches were held in group A. Heroic moved on, where the guys from Monte are waiting for them - the match will take place tomorrow at 20:30.

As for TheMongolz, they flew into the last chance bracket, where on July 30, 2023, at 20:30 Kyiv time, they will play against GamerLegion!
