Brollan: "There's always been people telling me that LANXESS is the best arena in esports"

MOUZ made the playoffs of IEM Cologne today after defeating Complexity 2-0 in their advancement match. A feat not achieved since IEM Cologne 2022, only torzsi remains from the roster that graced the LANXESS back then.

After the game versus Complexity, we spoke to Brollan about achieving his dreams of playing in the LANXESS and the support he hopes to get from the home crowd.

Interview was taken and written by Sam "AN1MO" McKenzie

You made it to the LANXESS, how are you feeling?

I'm feeling good, it was a really close game and I think we started really slow on Vertigo but we managed to get a good win in the end.

On Nuke, I played a really good game individually, it was really nice to play.

It's my first time in the LANXESS, so it's going to be really nice to play there and I'm looking forward to it.

Is that the type of thing you were dreaming about when you became a pro?

For sure, there's always been people telling me that LANXESS is the best arena in esports. It's one to experience and it's going to be so fun, I've been trying to qualify for the arena many times and have never done so, so it's going to be fun.

We spoke yesterday about MOUZ struggling in arenas sometimes, are you confident you will be able to bring your game this time?

We want to play our game, I would say. We need to enjoy the moment more and give  more compliments to each other.

We'll talk about it more later in the tournament, but now we just want to focus on the groups because can qualify for the semi-finals tomorrow.

With MOUZ being a German organisation there are normally a lot of MOUZ fans in the arena, are you happy you'll be able to play in front of them?

Yeah, it's going to be fun. I don't know how many people are going to cheer for us because I believe there are many fans coming from everywhere to Cologne. We haven't been the crowd favourites so far, so hopefully we get more support from the arena.
