The player released a statement to X detailing his negative experience with Wings Up. He claims that the team failed to pay him and his Swedish teammate Rasmus "kreaz" Johansson their salaries, did not communicate with them properly and fed them false promises.
"Next week, bro, no problem," is a phrase we've heard countless times.

In his statement, Janita writes:
"Wings Up owed us all our salaries, the only thing they paid for was airfare to China. After the IEM qualifier, they needed to pay for a hotel for us to meet them at CAC, but they said it would be better if Rasmus and I went back to the game office in Zhuzhou. From that point on, we never saw anyone else, and no one talked to us much. Nine days later we received a message saying that all activity was canceled until the owner responded. After another three days, we found out that they wanted to play with a Chinese lineup and we could go home. No one even came to say goodbye or help us with anything. We flew home on November 22 and were promised to be paid in early December. Then the end of December, then the beginning of January. The last communication was January 21 when we were told that Wings Up no longer existed."
Despite the hype, the Janita-Johansson duo spent only a few months at Wings Up. During that time, they played in only eight matches, with no significant results.
