The BLIX.GG portal has ceased to exist — does the esports winter continue to ravage?

Cybersports resource BLIX.GG closed after almost four years since its opening. Tomorrow, on January 16, it will stop publishing all kinds of materials.

The former FaZe coach Viacheslav "innersh1ne" Britvin, who was also involved in the project, announced the closure of the site. He blames the current situation on the "cybersport winter" - that's how they call the current recession in the industry, which has lasted not the first year.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to say that the BLIX.GG project will effectively cease editorial activity as of tomorrow. There are many factors that led to this outcome, but the cybersport winter is upon us, it just so happens. I'll write in more detail later [...]. Shitty feeling, to be honest.

Meanwhile, in a commentary for Esports Insider, parent company EX CORP said that the project has been "frozen," which does not rule out its revival in the future in one form or another.

BLIX.GG was launched in 2020 and featured content, insights and interviews not only on CS, but also on Dota 2, Valorant, LoL and other disciplines. What makes this sad is the fact that the portal itself was a reputable and prominent player in the specialized cybersport journalism sphere.
