As the BLAST Premier World Final 2024, which begins on October 30 in Singapore, approaches, Slovakian CS2 veteran Martin “STYKO” Styk shared his thoughts on the tournament's favorites and underdogs with BLAST.

NAVI Expectedly, STYKO put NAVI among the favorites. The Ukrainian team is having an incredible year, winning several major tournaments, including IEM Rio 2024, and reaching the Spring and Fall Finals.

"NAVI is now on the way to creating its own era. At a time when everyone says CS2 is a casual game, they are showing stability and strength. I'm sure they are the favorites of this tournament,” said STYKO.

Vitality Despite playing with a substitute, STYKO believes Vitality is another contender for victory. The French team has already won IEM Cologne 2024, and they have a player who claims to be the best in the world - ZywOo.

"Vitality shows the most stable CS throughout the year. They can compete with NAVI for the title of the best team in 2024. Although JACKZ is playing as a substitute, this can play into their hands, as the team will be able to play without unnecessary pressure,” STYKO shared.

Underdogs

Spirit The Russian team Spirit was recognized as one of the best after their dominance at IEM Katowice 2024, but recent results indicate possible problems. STYKO believes that they can regain their form.

"Spirit took a break from participating in major tournaments to prepare for the World Final. If they manage to find their game, I believe they can make it to the top 4," said STYKO.

FaZe FaZe started 2024 strong, but faced difficulties throughout the year. However, STYKO believes that FaZe can return to their former form  

"FaZe had a tough time, but they showed that they can beat top teams like NAVI. If the players can regain their confidence, they will be a serious threat at the World Final," STYKO believes.

BLAST Premier World Final 2024 will start on October 30. The tournament promises to be intense, as the best teams in the world will compete for a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.
