The MongolZ continue to make history. In the quarterfinals of IEM Katowice 2025, they confidently defeated Eternal Fire 2:0 and are now ready to play against Vitality in the semifinals. In this piece, we have gathered the most exciting moments from the thrilling match.

As always, everything starts with the pistol round, where in the first round, Techno4K manages to open the A site with a kill on woxic, and then during the defense, takes down XANTARES and jottAAA, allowing The MongolZ to win the first round.

Nothing more happened on Anubis, so we switch to Mirage, where in the second round, Techno4K again makes a triple kill, opening the A site. Thanks to this, the team takes the lead again.

With the score at 5:1 not in favor of Eternal Fire, the situation needed to be saved, and this time it was saved by the newcomer jottAAA, who managed to hold the A site with a triple kill, narrowing the match score.

Immediately in the next round, jottAAA once again shows the level he was signed for. He holds off The MongolZ's push to the A site by killing three.

After winning the second pistol round by The MongolZ, Eternal Fire forced a round and successfully went to the A site. But The MongolZ conducted a successful retake, largely due to a triple kill from Senzu, allowing The MongolZ to bring the score to 10:4.

In the second round of overtime, Techno4K first managed to press the B site and make a kill, then return to B and kill two more to equal the score at 13:13.

In one of the crucial rounds in overtime with the score at 14:14, the captain is the one to save the situation. MAJ3R with an AWP makes two kills, followed by another with an AK, allowing Eternal Fire to take the score to 15:14.

Overtime is still ongoing, where the game is decided by individual player performances. This time, woxic stepped up and made 3 kills, holding the A site with an AWP. Thanks to this, Eternal Fire tied the score at 16:16.

Once again, Techno4K steps up at the right moment, and together with mzinho, they hold off the push to the A site, making a triple ace between them, but Techno4K is particularly commendable for his 4 kills.

One step away from victory, the captain steps up again, but this time bLitz, who skillfully gets behind enemy lines, first taking down a player at A, then another, allowing entry to the site. In the end, by killing a rotating player from B, he sealed the match and secured the IEM Katowice 2025 semifinal for his team.

IEM Katowice 2025 takes place from January 29 to February 9 in Katowice, Poland. Twenty-four teams will compete for a prize pool of $1 million. You can follow the schedule and results of the event here.
