Valve's shooter has been breaking the record for average monthly online players for the third consecutive month - the rapid growth of CS:GO statistics began in January of this year.
According to statistics from the Steam Charts portal, in April, on average, over 918 thousand users played CS:GO, which is almost 9% more than in March.
The release of the Anubis collection and continued interest in Counter-Strike 2 played a role in the high online player count. Note that in April, it was not possible to update the peak online player count record - about 9,000 players were missing to reach 1.519 million for March. However, this may be possible in May against the backdrop of the upcoming Major in Paris and possible patches and a new wave of invites for closed testing of CS2.
