apEX on Falcons transfer: "I am okay if I win $1.5 million per year, I accept"

The French captain of Vitality, Dan "apEX" Madesclaire, unexpectedly appeared on the stream of streamer Buster — the owner of the GUN5 team. During the broadcast, apEX shared his thoughts on the potential transfer of the star player from G2 m0NESY to the wealthy organization Falcons, as well as how much he himself would need to be paid to consider joining the same team.

m0NESY and G2

G2 has been struggling with results for a while now, whereas Falcons are building their strength by investing significant sums into their roster. In this context, rumors of m0NESY moving to Falcons sound particularly plausible. On the stream, apEX was asked about this, and here's what he had to say:

I mean, you know, Falcons have a lot of money, and G2 is tough lately for them. And I think m0NESY wants to win, so wants to back with his friend NiKo, and try to win tournaments again
apEX

If such a transfer happens, it would be one of the most talked-about moves in CS2 over the past year — m0NESY and NiKo reuniting in a team backed by the ambitions and unlimited budget of Falcons.

Potential Salary for apEX to Join Falcons

apEX humorously, yet quite directly, commented on the possibility of his own transfer to Falcons, naming the amount he'd consider:

I am okay if I win $1.5 million per year, I accept. $130.000 per month, and maybe I consider

Dominant Teams Under Threat

During the broadcast, another question was raised about how currently there are only two or three strong teams on the pro scene: Vitality, Spirit, and possibly MOUZ. The rest are noticeably lagging behind. apEX confidently stated that this is temporary:

Well, actually, I think it's gonna come back soon, I think people will get better, and it’s gonna be closer again, pretty sure of that
apEX

Following this, he was asked if Falcons are capable of assembling a truly powerful lineup. His response was short but meaningful:

[laughs] With money you can do, with money you can do whatever you want
apEX

The financial resources of Falcons and the interest of players in transferring to this organization could seriously alter the balance of power on the global CS2 scene. If m0NESY indeed moves to Falcons, along with the potential transfer of kyousuke, which we wrote about here — we are in for a wave of transfers that could change the top scene.
