The Danish team Astralis will reach the semifinals for the first time since June, securing a direct spot in the playoff stage of the BLAST Premier World Final in Singapore. A convincing victory over MOUZ in the group finals allowed Astralis to bypass the quarterfinals and head straight to the battle for a place in the tournament final.
Astralis's success came as a real surprise to fans. On Wednesday, the team unexpectedly defeated NAVI, one of the strongest teams in the world, while MOUZ, who secured a solid spot among the top teams, achieved victory over FaZe. Consequently, the matchup between Astralis and MOUZ became the main intrigue of the day at the tournament in Asia, where the group winner had to be determined.
Clash on Vertigo and Nuke
The first map was Vertigo, where Astralis showcased an impressive game on the T-side. From the first minutes, the Danes dominated, taking 10 rounds before the sides switched. After the switch, MOUZ briefly narrowed the gap, but it wasn't enough — Astralis won the map 13-7.
The second map, Nuke, was more intense. Although MOUZ managed to get into the game better, Astralis still had an advantage at halftime with a score of 7-5. Later, team captain cadiaN demonstrated tactical prowess, despite continuing to play with a broken elbow, which did not prevent him from outplaying MOUZ with his calls. Simultaneously, player jabbi was in excellent form, allowing the team to confidently finish the match with a score of 13-9 and 2-0 in maps.
The Significance of Victory for Astralis
The victory is an important step for Astralis, as it gives them an advantage in the semifinals and a chance to continue their successful performance at the BLAST Premier World Final. This will be the team's first game at such a high level since June 2024, when they reached the semifinals at YaLLa Compass.
