"Aspas played a key role in shaping MIBR new roster" — Xenom

The Brazilian esports team MIBR has unveiled a new five-player roster for the 2025 season, featuring artzin, xenom, cortezia, aspas, and Nozwerr. In an interview with the YouTube channel VALORANT Esports Brasil, team newcomer xenom shared details about the formation of the revamped lineup.

Over the past two years, MIBR delivered unsatisfactory results: the team placed last at VCT 2023 LOCK//IN, finished ninth out of ten at VCT AMERICAS 2023, and ended VCT AMERICAS 2024 at the bottom once again. However, the club made significant changes for the new season, signing world-class duelist aspas, captain Nozwerr, and promising players cortezia and xenom.

In the interview, xenom revealed that he and cortezia were not part of the team’s original plans. Their inclusion became possible due to aspas’ insistence, as he played an active role in shaping the roster.

MIBR roster was primarily chosen by aspas. Along with head coach fRoD, he decided which players he wanted on the team.

The revamped MIBR lineup has already shown a strong start at the official offseason tournament, Tixinha Invitational, which kicked off in Brazil on December 9. The team convincingly defeated 2GAME Esports and THE 7 during the group stage, starting the tournament with two wins. However, they fell short in the finals against FURIA Esports, securing second place in the competition.
