Anubis Is the Only Matchmaking Map Where the Attacking Side Wins More Rounds

So far, the T side is stronger on the new map.

Anubis became the only map in matchmaking where the attack wins more than 50% of the rounds. Inferno became the most balanced location.

The scope.gg portal analyzed 360,000 CS:GO matchmaking games and calculated the balance of sides on all maps of the tournament pool and Dust2. According to the portal's calculations, Anubis became the only map on which the attack won more rounds than the defense.

T side wins 51.5% of rounds. The most balanced map in the pool is Inferno, where the defense bypasses the attack in 50.3% of rounds. The most unbalanced location is Nuke, where CT wins by 54.2%.

Why Is the Attack On Anubis Better?

Despite all reviews and analyses that said the defense on Anubis is much stronger, the statistics tell the opposite. But how is that possible if CT has literally unprecedented control of the map, and T has absolutely no space?

The answer to this question is that the map is new. In the first weeks and months of adding new locations, matchmaking players do not know how to play them, and the team that shoots the best wins. And for T, it is easier to do this because when pressing on one point, the attack always has a numerical advantage. Since CT still needs to learn how to conduct rotations properly, this results in winning rounds for the attack.

This was the case with all new maps. For example, T dominated on Inferno after the rework, but the statistics evened out. And the first professional matches on Anubis show the opposite trend - CT is stronger on the pro scene.

Why Can Anubis Become the Next Map Dominated by CT?

The main advantages of protection on Anubis are mid, and connector on the B. CT has more control over mid because of two different outputs. In addition, the connector on the B allows you to control water fully. So even in case of loss of center, the defense almost does not lose control of the map.
