The team from India will play against the team from Pakistan in a show match at BLAST Premier: World Final 2023

Today, the representatives from India who will play in the show match at BLAST Premier: World Final 2023 against the team from Pakistan were revealed. It is already known that the Indian team at the show match will be represented by Marcos, who today became the champions of DreamHack Hyderabad Invitational.

Marcos began their journey in Counter-Strike in July 2023 and in this time have managed to play three tournaments, two of which they won:

  • TEC Arena Connect Pune 2023
  • DreamHack Hyderabad Invitational 2023

And it is precisely the victory at DreamHack Hyderabad Invitational 2023 that gave the Marcos team the right to participate in the show match at BLAST Premier: World Final 2023 against the team from Pakistan.

The lineup of team Marcos is as follows:

Who will represent Pakistan?

This is where it gets interesting. Over the last 12 years of professional Counter-Strike, there have been only 30 players registered from Pakistan, but none of them have been active for a long time.

What teams will perform at the championship?

The list of teams that will participate in the BLAST Premier World Final 2023 is not yet finalized, but three of them are already known.

Heroic, winners of the BLAST Premier Spring final, have secured their spot directly before the player break. The winner of the BLAST Premier Fall 2023 final will join them when the winner is determined in November.

The participation of FaZe Clan in the event has already been confirmed. They secured their place in Abu Dhabi by winning the Intel Grand Slam at ESL Pro League Season 17.

Like BLAST Premier, the ESL Pro League has two slots for the final, so the winner of Season 18 also automatically qualifies for the final, which will take place in December.

Tournament prize pool

  • 1st place - $500,000
  • 2nd place - $250,000
  • 3rd-4th place - $85,000
  • 5th-6th place - $25,000
  • 7th-8th place - $15,000

It is recalled that the last final tournament of the year also took place in the UAE and then a minimal number of spectators came to the arena.
