Chinese League of Legends star, Jian "Uzi" Zihao, has become the first LPL representative to be inducted into the Hall of Legends. In his emotional address, he shared memories of his career, regrets, and his unwavering love for the game.
It is a great honor for me to be inducted into the Hall of Legends. This coincides with the anniversary of our victory in Paris in 2018. So, it's a special day.Uzi began
Speaking about his retirement, Uzi admitted that he lost focus during one of the games — a wake-up call for him:
At that moment, I realized something had changed. I was no longer the player I used to be.
Uzi also candidly discussed his weaknesses:
I used to be stubborn, lacked flexibility, and got easily irritated under pressure. But I tried to become better. And I continue to change.
He paid particular attention to the feeling of loss over not winning a championship title:
I never lifted the Worlds trophy. That's one of my biggest regrets. But the past can't be changed. However, I can influence my future. New battles await me.
Yet throughout all this, his constant companion remained his love for the game:
Every ranked game, every moment when I tell myself, "I have to win," still brings me joy. Maybe my youth has passed, but the passion for LoL remains.
He also admitted that the professional scene changed him forever:
Whenever life presents me with a new challenge, I think about my competitive days. If I hold on a bit longer—maybe a breakthrough is ahead.
In conclusion, Uzi thanked everyone who stood by him along the way:
Thank you to my family, teammates, coaches, LoL, and LPL for giving me a stage to realize my dream. If even one of my matches inspired you—it's a great joy for me.
Uzi was officially added to the Hall of Legends on May 20, 2025, becoming the second player after Faker to receive this honor, and the first representative from the Chinese LPL region to earn this title.
