Announced: Three Major International League of Legends Tournaments for 2025

Riot Games has unveiled details for the international events of the 2025 season in League of Legends, including the new tournament FIRST STAND, as well as the main dates and venues for MSI and Worlds.

FIRST STAND — new international tournament

The season kicks off with the debut of the international tournament FIRST STAND, taking place from March 10 to 16 at LOL Park in Seoul. The tournament will gather the best of the best: one team from leagues like LCK, LPL, LEC, LTA, and LCP, selected based on their success in the initial splits of the season. The Fearless Draft format will be the main feature of the tournament, ensuring a variety of strategies and encouraging team innovations, as repeating the same champions during the series will be excluded.

MSI — in Canada

The next event of the season is MSI 2025, which will be held in Canada and will gather 10 teams from around the world. Traditionally, MSI offers a chance for the strongest teams to assert their leadership mid-year and secure positions ahead of the world championship.

Worlds 2025 — in Chengdu

The main event of the season, Worlds 2025, will be held in Chengdu. Worlds will remain the primary event of the year, where teams will compete for the title of world champions and global recognition in the esports community.

2025 in League of Legends

The year 2025 promises to be eventful and full of intrigue. Fans can anticipate an exciting battle at FIRST STAND in March, followed by MSI and Worlds, which will wrap up this action-packed year, reinforcing League of Legends as a leading esports discipline.
