LCP Season Kickoff: the beginning of the journey

The season will start with the LCP Season Kickoff split. Eight teams will compete in the regular stage in a single round-robin format, where matches will be held in a bo3 format with Fearless drafts. The top 6 teams will earn tickets to the Qualifying Series – a playoff stage with bo3 and bo5 matches, where the winner will secure a spot in the first international tournament of the year.

Mid Season: the second phase

The second split, known as Mid Season, will feature a double round-robin format with bo1 matches. Again, the top six teams will advance to the playoffs, where they will compete in bo3 and bo5 series. The two best teams from this stage will receive invitations to MSI. The results of the Mid Season will also play a crucial role in forming the team seeding for the final split – Season Finals.

Team list and relegation tournament

LCP 2025 will feature 8 teams: 4 of them will receive league partner status, while the other 4 will be guest status. Based on the season results, the weakest guest teams will be required to compete in a relegation tournament, where they will face the leaders of regional leagues (VCS, LJL, PCS, and potentially OCE). Riot also plans to add a wildcard slot, which will open opportunities for teams from countries like Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia to join the league and showcase their talents.
