Serin to Strengthen Team GO in LFL as the Fourth Player for 2025
Serin to Strengthen Team GO in LFL as the Fourth Player for 2025

Mid laner Tolga "Serin" Ölmez has reached a verbal agreement with Team GO, sources at Sheep Esports reported on Saturday. Serin will fill the spot vacated by Dajor and will become the fourth well-known player to play for Red Storm in 2025. What makes this transfer interesting is that Serin also attracted interest from Team Heretics from LEC and Karmine Corp Blue from LFL during the offseason.

Career Beginnings and Success in TCL

Serin began his career in Turkey in the summer of 2019 under unfavorable circumstances – his team Team Aurora finished in 10th place with a 2-16 record. Later, he joined Istanbul Wildcats in TCL, where he achieved the most success. Over two years, he became a champion three times and participated in MSI 2021, where he managed to win a game against MAD Lions led by Elyoya. In 2022, the team only managed to defeat RED Canids, but finished last in their Play-In group at Worlds.

Transition to Other Leagues and a New Challenge in Prime League

In 2023, Serin joined Papara Supermassive, where he finished third in the winter split. This year marked his transition to a different league – Prime League, where he joined NNO Prime. Despite not winning medals, he qualified for EMEA Masters in the summer through LCQ but failed to advance from the Swiss stage, losing to Macko and three teams from LFL: BK Rog, Vitality.Bee and Team GO. As the saying goes, if you can't beat them, join them.

Red Storm Roster Nearing Completion

With the addition of the Turkish mid laner, Team GO now only needs to fill the positions of top laner and support. Although there are no official confirmations for these roles yet, Serin is joined by Jean "Jezu" Massol, who recently renewed his contract, Théo "Zoelys" Le Scornec, and Andrei "Xerxe" Dragomir, whose verbal agreement was also confirmed after his clause expired with LEC. The roster is being formed under the guidance of the team's new head coach, Aymerick "Hairost" Sergeant, who was appointed to this position in early October.

Why Is This Important?

Serin's move to Team GO could be a key step for the team aspiring for success in 2025. Strong players like Xerxe and Jezu, along with the new coach, provide the roster with stability and potential to compete for high placings in LFL.
