Christian "Palafox" Palafox, the LCS Summer 2023 champion, has reached a verbal agreement with the team Shopify Rebellion and will be its midlaner in the upcoming season. This was reported by sources from Sheep Esports.

The Return of the Duo

After NRG left the league in less than two years, Palafox and his jungler partner Juan "Contractz" Garcia were left without a team. Both players, having found success in LCS 2023, planned to continue playing together, and Shopify Rebellion provided them with the opportunity. For Palafox, the move to Shopify Rebellion is a chance to redeem himself after an unsuccessful 2024, in which the former champion failed to perform at a high level.

Nisqy's Withdrawal and Palafox's Transition

Initially, Shopify Rebellion planned to sign Yasin "Nisqy" Dincer, another LCS champion. However, Nisqy withdrew from the verbal agreement, deciding to take a break from his career. Following this, the team focused on local talent, which paved the way for Palafox.

Disguised, who also considered Palafox in the offseason, shifted their focus to European midlaner Felix "Abbedagge" Braun and signed him on the last day allowed by his contract with BIG.
