New Patch 14.22 in League of Legends

League of Legends developers have unveiled a long-awaited update, bringing numerous surprises for players. The most notable change is the new ARAM map "Bridge of Progress," styled after the "Arcane" series, allowing players to immerse themselves in the ambiance of Piltover and Zaun. Additionally, a new champion, Ambessa, Matriarch of War, is coming to Summoner's Rift, with her debut scheduled for November 6, 2024.

ARAM Updates: Bridge of Progress and "Arcane" Aesthetic

Along with the new battlefield, players can enjoy themed minions and towers reflecting the "Arcane" style. Branches for melee and assassin champions will appear in the center of the map, providing more strategic maneuvering options. The placement of the healing relics has also been changed, moving them closer to the center of the map, giving small buffs depending on the side.

Meet Ambessa – the New Champion

To the delight of fans, the new champion Ambessa will storm into Summoner's Rift with unique combat mechanics and an adapted "Blood, Sweat & Tears" theme upon respawning. Her canonical appearance, along with skill animations, are the true highlights of the patch, which also includes updates for the Chosen of the Wolf skin series.

Balance Changes and Minion System

Minions on the side lanes will now encounter mid-lane waves non-simultaneously, providing mid-laners with more roam time. The movement speed of minions in the early game has also been changed, making side lane defense more flexible.

Improvements for Marksmen and Assassins

To increase interest in items for physical damage assassins, items like Statikk Shiv and Yuntal's Wild Arrows have been reworked. Additionally, champion Warwick has been updated: his model enhanced and abilities adapted to modern gameplay requirements.

Changes for Returning Players

Patch 14.22 introduces an adaptation system for players absent for more than six months. For their convenience, the first PvP matches on the Bridge of Progress will be against bots to help players quickly acclimate to the new conditions in League of Legends.
